Community Outreach Worker to University Population – Cluj, Romania

Cluj hosts 100,000 university students from Romania, the rest of Europe, and beyond every academic year. The Serge team in Cluj, Romania is is looking for individuals who have a love for this age group and recent graduates and who are willing to invest their lives in them heavily.

Responsibilites:

• Initiate activities to attract students: Bible studies, discussion groups, movie nights, volunteering opportunities, etc
• Build relationships with leaders of local churches and local student groups.
• Study Romanian intensively for the first year on the field
• Participate in regular team and community life: team meetings, other outreach, church meetings, retreats, etc

Requirements and Critical Qualities:

• Personal experience of the gospel and a desire to share it with others
• Enthusiasm for language learning
• Flexibility
• Cultural sensitivity and good listening skills
• Ability to be a team player with a teachable spirit

Support Raising:

The person in this role raises their full financial support for salary, ministry expenses, and benefits.
When you are appointed to go with Serge, you are assigned a support coach who will guide you step-by-step through the entire support-raising process.
