The Central Europe region has some of the most secular and atheistic societies in the world.

After decades of communism and institutionalized religion, today there is much unbelief, especially amoung younger generations. And as faith in God continues to decline, many national churches are working with limited resources.

Serge has had a presence in the Central Europe region since the mid 90’s when a facilitative church planting team began mentoring national pastors and university students through the Sonship Course.  Their efforts continued to bear fruit long after.

In 2017, Serge missionaries returned to the area to reconnect with these church leaders and build new ministry partnerships.

The Central Europe Regional team focuses on facilitative church planting and Gospel renewal.  We’re committed to coming alongside national pastors/church leaders and supporting the church planting work in the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Germany, and Austria.

What We Do in Central Europe – Regional

The Central Europe Regional team builds relationships with national church leaders from a diversity of nations –Austria, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Germany, and Poland.

They engage in Sonship mentoring with national church leaders as a building block for further mentoring and coaching opportunities.

They also train and develop national church leaders, equipping and resourcing them to succeed in the church planting ministries God has given them to do.

ESL provides a natural way for the team to partner with local churches as they reach out to their communities with the Gospel. Teaching opportunities come in many forms: after-school English conversation clubs for kids and teens, classes for university students and adults, individual or small group lessons, and helping with summer English camps.

ESL provides a natural way to partner with local churches as they reach out to their communities with the Gospel.

Many people who attend English classes have little to no interest in faith or religion, so this is an opportunity to connect with people who would otherwise not hear the Gospel.

By laying down their lives together for the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, the team loves God and neighbors by pursuing the establishment and renewal of churches, and the restoration of shalom in local communities in Central Europe.

In addition to the broader regional work, each team member is actively involved at a local level, being a light in the darkness and influencing the culture of that city.

    How You Can Pray

The harvest is plentiful, ask the Lord of the harvest to send fellow team members! There are more pastors and churches and networks hungry for Gospel friendships of encouragement and resourcing.

    •  Pray for the Holy Spirit to continue blowing in this region and that those who have been touched by the Gospel would have a bold and humble witness.
    •  Pray for pastors and church planters to keep Christ central in their hearts and ministries, finding His rest as they pour out their lives.
