A Mini-Retreat to Help You Live Out the Gospel in Your Everyday Life

“If I know the gospel is true… then why do I keep getting so stuck in this one area of my life?

We long to believe the gospel in ways that transform us deeply – but too often, our day-to-day experience doesn’t match up between who we really are and who we want to be or know we should be.

Our external personable ministry with others doesn’t line up with our internal stressed-out world.

Our counsel is sought on all sorts of biblical issues, yet we secretly struggle with a lack of love for our teammates.

Or, we just don’t feel like we are adopted children of God because life is just hard – and we are exhausted.

Our best efforts always seem to lead to a preoccupation with self, frustration, and joylessness.

Come and rediscover God’s grace at Gospel-Centered Life Weekend – a Serge mini-retreat.

We will explore how God desires to use the ups and downs of our daily life to draw us into a closer relationship with Him, make us more like Jesus, and extend His love to a broken and needy world.

While this event is based on themes from Serge’s The Gospel-Centered Life study guide, this teaching will go much deeper and beyond the book.

Whether your church has already gone through the curriculum in the past, or you’re interested in introducing your church to the curriculum for the first time – this event is for you!

When:
Friday, November 6 (6:00pm-9:00pm) to Saturday, November 7 (8:30am-12:00pm), 2026.

Area Director for Renewal

Jeremy Sink

Jeremy grew up in a small town near Lexington, NC. Needless to say, cross-cultural church planting was not on his radar when he married his wife, Gina, in 1995. Early in their marriage, the Sinks spent 10 years planting and leading a new church in central NC before following God's unexpected call to Nagoya, Japan in 2012. In Nagoya, the Sinks helped to plant All Nations Fellowship (ANF), a bilingual, international church focused on reaching the Japanese with the gospel. After transitioning ANF to Japanese leadership, the couple expanded their scope of work to include training and mentoring Japanese church planters and pastors throughout the country.

After 13 years in Japan, Jeremy has now assumed leadership of Serge's Renewal Team, which is based in Philadelphia, PA. The Sinks have 3 adult sons: Joshua, Josiah, and Garrett. Jeremy is a graduate of Reformed Theological Seminary and an ordained pastor in the Presbyterian Church in America.

She has worked with the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) as a Church Planting Assessor and Operations Director for African American Ministries (AAM). Kellie and her husband, Rev. Howard A. Brown, are now planting a church in Atlanta, GA. Kellie is a proud mom of two college-aged sons. You can reach her at kbrown@serge.org.

What Others Are Saying

“It is so easy to forget the music of the Gospel and the Gospel-Centred Life Weekend was like a concert for my soul. My tendency is to put my faith on cruise control, but when I do that, I minimize and end up with a small Jesus, small cross and small sin. The weekend made all these large again for me.”

GCL Weekend Participant

“The clear presentation of gospel, with concrete life experiences and examples helped me hear it (the gospel) in fresh and renewing ways. I left the mini-retreat strengthened, joyful and peaceful.”

GCL Weekend Participant

“This retreat helped me realize, in new ways, how I can acknowledge ways I need to grow without shame because of what Christ accomplished on my behalf through His person and work. Also, I was reminded to surrender both my best and worst of efforts to Christ, while at the same time letting him take care of my reputation.”
