Business Vocational Intern – Chiang Mai, Thailand

The Serge Thailand team’s desire is to help Thai people see that Jesus is the Savior and King of every nation, tribe, people, and tongue. To do this, they work alongside Thai pastors and ministry leaders, supporting them in the work they are doing to plant churches and reach Thai people. They aim to help Thai people see that they can be Thai and be followers of Jesus.

One of the ways they’re doing this is by building a new Business for Transformation (B4T). This B4T will be used to provide opportunities for Thai church leaders to support their families and ministries. A vocational intern will assist in creating, publishing, and marketing the products and information necessary to grow the B4T. Accepting applicants for the 2027 calendar year (internship duration varies. 2-11 months, depending on the availability of the applicant).

Responsibilities:

• Assist in creating, publishing, and marketing the information products necessary to grow the team’s B4T 
• Attend weekly team meetings
• Engage in one-on-one mentored discipleship with a missionary coach
• Participate in cultural learning opportunities such as studying the Thai language with a local language tutor
• Connect with and serve the local Thai church through Sunday morning services and weekly programmatic ministries as needs arise

Requirements and Critical Qualities:

• Experience in video editing/videography
• Experience in graphic/website design
• Able to create social media content
• Knowledge on how to use generative AI (ChatGPT) for content generation
• Own their own laptop capable of editing video and creating social media content
• A humble and teachable spirit
• A flexible and positive attitude
• A committed Christian who has cross-cultural experience or desire
• A willingness to receive positive feedback and constructive criticism
• A willingness to raise support and come through a mission agency

Support Raising:

The person in this role raises their full financial support for salary, ministry expenses, and benefits.
When you are appointed to go with Serge, you are assigned a support coach who will guide you step-by-step through the entire support-raising process.
