East Africa is a diverse place. It is a mixture of great beauty and deep brokenness. The team lives in a large city and works among a people group from a nearby country. This people group has had a hard history-a history filled with struggle, violence, and despair. The vast majority of them do not know the God of hope.
To be from their country is to be Muslim. These precious image-bearers are often unseen, unknown, and unwelcome in many places on this earth. But God sees them, knows them, and invites them into his Kingdom. Those who do follow Christ face great persecution. Yet, many are coming to faith. We rejoice in the God whose hand is not too short to save!
The ministry in this area is highly relational and organic. They offer professional services such as medical care, mental health care, photography, business for transformation, and English teaching to build bridges, foster relationships, and have gospel conversations.
The vision of the East Africa-Urban team is to see unreached, vulnerable, and disadvantaged people finding hope and home in the gospel of God’s Kingdom. The mission is to display truth and grace through authentic relationships and holistic engagement, inviting people to see themselves as part of God’s redemptive story.
Would you like to use your gifts to minister to an unreached Muslim people group? We’d love to talk with you more!
