Daniel and Abbie both grew up in the Chicagoland area where they came to faith, grew up in the church, got married and started raising their own family. For Daniel, the conviction to serve overseas first came in college when God gave him a burden for the unreached through short-term mission trips. For Abbie, it began in high school where she witnessed her youth pastor and his wife leave for the field. As they grew and through their marriage, they shared a vision to see lost souls being saved.

In 2026, they, along with their three children, Eloise, Mabel and Mariel, went to visit Taipei, Taiwan and experienced a love for the Taiwanese people who do not know Jesus. Christianity makes up a mere 4-6% of the population with local churches and aging leaders left with few workers to take up the ministries. With a passion for discipleship and evangelism, Daniel and Abbie will join the Serge Taiwan team with a focus on relationship building and church planting. Please partner with them in prayer as they long to see the people of Taiwan be changed by the gospel.
