When Marc and Susan met in college, they soon discovered they had something interesting in common—they both had personal history with Germany and the German language. Marc and Susan traveled in Germany together in 1990, when the Berlin Wall had come down and was being sold by the piece. And then they didn’t go back for a long time. They were married in 1992, raised three kids, and participated in the life of the local church. In 2007 Marc joined the pastoral staff of New Life Church, Glenside, Pennsylvania, where he served until joining the Renewal team at Serge in 2019. He spent seven years on that team invested in personal gospel mentoring, training, teaching, and writing. Meanwhile, Susan was using her gifts for language as a teacher and editor. And then Marc and Susan were invited to come to Germany to nurture gospel-centered leaders and communities there. They are amazed by all the ways God has prepared them specifically for this calling.
