Psalms: Real Prayers for Real Life

with Barbara Juliani and Patric Knaak

Recorded on Wednesday, August 18th

1 hour

H ow long? Why is this happening? Where are you, God?

While these are often the real questions in our hearts, sometimes we think that they don’t sound spiritual enough to bring before God in prayer. We may wonder if it’s even OK to ask these sorts of questions.

Prayer can easily become a game of hide and seek, pretending things are good when they are not, or that we are strong when we are not. Because our faith in Christ brings us into a living relationship with God, we can go to God with our real questions, struggles, and everyday needs.

As we read the Psalms, we read a model of real prayers, with real faith, even in the midst of our struggles and doubts. The Psalms are God’s gift to help us come to Him – no matter what the circumstance or emotion – giving us words for our troubles, reminders of God’s care, and promises to rely on. Come learn how to pray these words He has given us, as He strengthens our hearts and faith.

Webinar speakers, Barbara Juliani, Vice President and Editorial Director of New Growth Press & Patric Knaak, Area Director for Renewal at Serge, wrote Psalms: Real Prayers for Real Life. Hear their guidance on:

  • What these ancient cries of God’s people and God’s responses have to do with your real, everyday life today
  • How to use the Psalms in your own prayers to beg for help, offer thanks, express confidence in who God is, or say exactly what else is on your heart
  • How your faith will be strengthened as you read and pray the Psalms over time

If you’re a Christian who struggles to get real with God throughout every circumstance in life, then this webinar is for you!
