Primary Care Physician – Kibuye, Burundi

The Serge Burundi team is looking for someone to participate in their mission and vision at Kibuye Hospital by providing compassionate medical care in word and deed to patients, by educating and discipling national health care providers.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a faculty member of Hope Africa University’s School of Medicine at Kibuye Hope Hospital
• Provide medical care for the patients of Kibuye Hope Hospital
• Provide didactic and clinical teaching to medical students and other health professional trainees during their rotations at Kibuye Hope Hospital (including classroom lectures, bedside teaching, and procedural supervision & instruction)  
• Pursue opportunities to share the gospel with patients and staff
• Support and encourage the Serge Kibuye team by actively participating in team life and seeking opportunities to serve the team using gifts and talents

Requirements and Critical Qualities:

• Board certification in a primary care field such as family medicine, pediatrics, or obstetrics/gynecology 
• An active medical license 
• Commitment to Jesus Christ and the global expansion of His Kingdom
• Call to missional living and desire to engage with the assigned team in fulfilling its vision
• Devotion to prayer, personal repentance, and renewal as the motive and power for mission
• Commitment to Serge’s core values, demonstrated in work and interactions
• An ability to work effectively with a team and practice healthy conflict resolution

The person in this role raises their full financial support for salary, ministry expenses, and benefits.
When you are appointed to go with Serge, you are assigned a support coach who will guide you step-by-step through the entire support-raising process.
