Following their graduation from James Madison University, Tim and his wife Sarah set off on a journey into full time ministry coupled with Sarah’s career in nursing and Tim’s extended pursuit of a seminary degree (it only took 18 years!). They are forever grateful to have gotten connected with Serge through their first Sonship small group in 1997 and through numerous short term trips at the church where they served for almost 25 years.
Over the years, as new immigrant and refugee families settled nearby the church and their home, Tim and Sarah developed many treasured cross cultural friendships that grew in their family a bigger vision for God’s kingdom by teaching them much about what it means to live together as people made in the image of God for relationship with Him and one another. Through all of this, God was shaping Tim with an ever increasing desire to be part of His work at drawing all peoples from all places to Himself through relationships and friendships that testify to the redeeming power of the Gospel as it brings life-giving change to individuals, families and communities.
After a short stint following God’s call to serve with Serge in Spain, Tim now serves stateside where he is involved in mentoring, training, teaching and developing a spiritual formation philosophy and resources that help individuals to lead lives of spiritual depth and authenticity impacting the world for the glory of God and the blessing and flourishing of others. Tim desires to live and love in such a way that it would be obvious that, in Jesus, not only have we been made whole, but we have been set free to be filled and satisfied by Him as His beloved ones.
Tim and Sarah currently reside in Richmond, Virginia and have two daughters (Abby, Alex) and two sons (Grant, Denton).
