I n a culture that affirms the carefully crafted, curated exterior with likes and follows, it can be hard to remember that the chief concern of God is our interior – our heart.
Even as we disciple others, we can focus too much on the externals, settling for growth in knowledge and improvement in behavior, while ignoring brokenness under the surface.
However, we know from scripture that God is relentlessly in pursuit of the human heart. The transformation God is after goes far beyond what we do and what we don’t do, or how many ‘right answers’ we can give; in His grace and mercy He probes our very identity, desire, and affections.
