We will explore how God desires to use the ups and downs of our daily life to draw us into a closer relationship with Him, make us more like Jesus, and extend His love to a broken and needy world.
While this event is based on themes from Serge’s The Gospel-Centered Life study guide, this teaching will go much deeper and beyond the book.

Speakers
Marc grew up at New Life Church in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, in the years when Serge (formerly World Harvest Mission) was being launched. During those years, he saw people being transformed by the gospel of grace, and that same grace got hold of him, too. Marc and his wife Susan met at the University of Virginia and married in 1992. After three years on Intervarsity staff, he completed an M.Div. from Westminster Seminary in 1997. Marc is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in America and served on the pastoral staff at New Life Church (now Glenside) for 12 years. Marc joined Serge’s Renewal team in 2019 as Global Learning Program Leader. In that role, he is excited to see missionaries, pastors, and others involved in ministry empowered by the gospel to live lives of great freedom in dependence on Jesus for everything. James Madsen has served as a discipleship pastor at Christ Presbyterian Church in Edina, Minnesota since 2008, and is an ordained minister in ECO: A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians. After graduating from Wheaton College, he completed an M.A. in counseling from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and an M.Div. at Bethel Seminary. James and his wife Anna met in 2008 while she was serving as a Serge missionary in Spain, and they married in 2009. Passionate about helping others apply the gospel to their everyday life, James has also served as a part-time Sonship mentor with Serge since 2016. James and Anna have three sons (Connor, Luke, and Jack) and two black labs (Ruby and Josie).
