Brian and Nancy were high school sweethearts who later married and raised two sons in South Florida. When Brian retired from AT&T, God began redirecting his and Nancy’s life towards world missions. They moved to the Charlotte, N.C., area and Brian joined the team at JAARs, updating their communication systems. He also taught physical education at Brookstone School, a Christian inner-city school for underprivileged children.
Nancy grew up in a missions-centered home, enjoying the regular company of missionaries and evangelists. Her parents had a heart for Native Americans and served as church planters among the Seminole tribes in South Florida. Nancy majored in Bible and education, taught in a Christian school, and authored history articles for Christian publications. She also worked with Asheville-Buncombe County Christian Ministries in their crisis ministry division.
Both Brian and Nancy served as leaders in Bible Study Fellowship. Together, they have served in youth and children’s ministries as teachers, trainers, counselors, and administrators. They share a passion to show the next generation the love and grace of Jesus as portrayed in the gospel.
Brian and Nancy are heading to Prague to live out the gospel as they serve in a new Czech church plant. Their desire is to glorify God, support and encourage other team members, use their gifts as God directs, and build relationships with their Czech neighbors. They believe their vision for this chapter of their lives is best summed up in Psalm 71:18, “So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim your might to another generation, your power to all those to come.”
