Ashland is a 2014 graduate from Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn. She has a degree in Public Relations with experience and background in the music industry.
Upon graduating college, the Lord made it clear that He wanted her to follow Him to Bundibugyo, Uganda. Even though this calling seemed daunting and not at all what she had envisioned, He gave her the grace to step out in faith and complete a summer internship with the Serge Bundibugyo team for June and July of 2014.
She spent most of her time at Christ School Bundibugyo (CSB), the local secondary boarding school, and used her PR degree to create content that could be used for both donor relations and student recruitment. It was during this summer that the Lord deepened His call on her life to be a part of what He’s doing in Bundibugyo, specifically at CSB.
Ashland is thrilled to return to the place that renewed her understanding of the gospel in transformative ways. She dreams of further establishing and maintaining CSB donor relations, helping expand the school’s reach, and even kick-starting servant leadership initiatives on campus.
She’s most excited about partnering with an organization that believes and rests in the power of the gospel at work in us and through us, transforming our weakness and the world’s brokenness.
