The Kianga Kids project is designed to meet the healthcare and other needs for at-risk children in Nairobi, Kenya. Sixty percent of Nairobi’s residents live in urban slums. Twenty percent of those who live in the slums are estimated to be HIV+, and 50% are estimated to be under age 15.
The Kianga Kids project enables Serge partner churches to provide healthcare in their nursery schools and other outreach programs to serve these communities. Our hope is that through this ministry, we will be able share the gospel in a way that shows that Jesus cares about the whole person – physically, intellectually, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
Note: Kianga is a Swahili word meaning the brightening of the sky after a storm, or the clearing of the weather.
